UI Design & Usability Testing For A Bullet Journal App

Bullet journals are quickly gaining popularity among a wide age group of planner enthusiasts. Bullet journals are versatile, fun and above all a calming process that encourages creativity and mindfulness. But in the hustle and bustle of today, some find it hard to dedicate time to this beautiful art.

As part of the user research for this project, a survey of 493 women between the ages of 15 and 55 was conducted. A large majority stated that the biggest drawback of bullet journals was that it was a time consuming activity, with over 95% of the respondents stating that they would be interested in  trying out a digital bullet journal app.

The responses from this survey were used to guide the UI/UX design of the digital prototype and mimic the user interaction journey of a traditional bullet journal user.
